Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son is 12 weeks old and has recently had a change in his bowels. He was only pooping every 3-4 days and beginning two weeks ago he started to stool daily, sometimes 3 times a day. Today he had a large mucous stool. I remember his doctor saying at his 8 week check up "As long as he poops I am not concerned, unless it is mucousy" I never asked him why and was wondering what you have to say?
