What Could Pain In Upper Chest Be?

hello friday i got hit in my upper chest, a little lower then the collar bone and now its been hurting when i do certain movements or when i cough (not when i breathe). I found the area that hurts and when i press on it it feels like the same pain. Im scared it could be serious?

I can understand your concern.
You are having blunt chest trauma. And this can cause musculoskeletal injury and related pain.
So possibility of this kind of pain is more likely in your case.. No need to worry much, follow these steps for better symptomatic relief.
1. Avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise.
2. Avoid movements causing pain.
3. Avoid bad postures in sleep.
4. Take painkiller like ibuprofen.
5. Apply warm water pad on affected areas.
Follow all these, you will be mostly improve in 1-2 weeks. If not improving after 2 weeks then consult doctor and get done chest x ray to rule rule out internal lung pathology.
