What Could Persistent Cough Causing Vomiting After Incubation Suggest?
Hello, I was incubated during deep sedation for routine colonoscopy about 7 weeks ago and still have frequent cough. Chest X-ray is clear nod there is no infection present. Do you recommend a specialist ? The cough is persistent and annoying, and it s caused vomiting after a long bout.
Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM. I can understand your situation and problem. In my opinion you should consult pulmonologist and get done 1. PFT ( pulmonary function test ) 2. Bronchoscopic evaluation. Post intubation following are the possible complications that can cause annoying cough. 1. Bronchitis 2. Tracheal injury and stenosis. So get done PFT to rule out bronchitis. Bronchoscopic examination is needed to rule out tracheal injury. So better to consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
