HI! Good evening. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.
From your history, what I guess is that it could be some kind of sub acute intermittent torsion of the ovary harboring the so called tumours, or could be due to intermittent hemorrhage in those tumours. This could be causing some kind of inflammation of the neighbouring
peritoneum resulting in such
sharp pain and also the hurt caused by pressure at that moment. If I were your doctor, in case of increased frequency and intensity of the problem, I would advise you for an
MRI of the abdomen, and a diagnostic
laparoscopy during the stage of sharp pain, which could be converted into a therapeutic procedure depending on the judgement of the treating surgeon at that moment. Till then, you could go for some anti spasmodic drug for a symptomatic relief during the pain.
I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.
Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. I wish you an early recovery. Dr Shareef
