What Could Rise In Enzyme Levels With Soreness Suggest?

just recently had symptoms of food poising. Cramps and nausea. Emergency room doc said my after viewing my blood test enzymes levels in pancreas was mildly elevated. I do not drink??? I am 5'9 and weigh 210. While I feel ok, what cause the rise in the enzymes, and does food poisioning cause a rise in levels? Also, when I press in my side, there is some soreness, please advise why. , I was given lanocane and ibs med to stave feelings of vomiting. F

Your query being appreciated, elevated enzyme level could be nonspecific if not being related with the clinical symptoms or the history you have although you have not mentioned the test result of enzyme, high level could be indicative of biliary disease, it may increase in case of GI infection if it is due to food poising, but once the condition being treated it comes to normal and no need to worry about this hope this information helps.
