What Could Rising Fever While Being On Adol And Zinnat Tablets With Diagnosed Tonsillitis Indicate?

Hi doctors I need help. I got fever 2 days ago 38.5C and the doc said I have tonsillitis even though my throat is not hurting it's a little red he said n I was feverish he prescribed adol 500 mg tablet 1 tablet every 4 hours and Zinnat tablet twice a day 500 mg.. today is 3rd day n my symptoms are back again even though I started the medication! I'm worried I had adol an hour ago n still my fever Is rising now it's 38.6 C what do u suggest??

Hello and welcome to health care magic,

It usually take a couple of days for the medications which are especially oral to give you some relief.
In any case if the relief is not there then it either means that the treatment is not working or the diagnosis may be wrong
You need to consult an ENT as soon as possible and consider measure such as injectable antibiotis, throat swab culture so that a proper treatment can be done
