What Could Severe Pain In Fingers After Snapping The Fingers Mean?

so, a while back I was snapping left hands fingers and ended up doing something wrong that ultimately ended up making my ring and pinky fingers hurt like crazy. I wrapped my hand up and now the pain has increased and it now is spreading throughout my hand... I can barely type right now without it hurting. what s wrong with my hand!?

Hello,
Thanks for your query.

** It seems that you have suffered a sprain of the finger muscles during the workout. Such minor sprains usually take 7-10 days to resolve.

1. Give enough rest to your hand muscle. Avoid workouts and lifting weights with the hand till acute pain subsides completely.
2. Take mild pain killers like acetaminophen or ibuprofen.
3. Stronger prescription NSAIDS with muscle relaxants may help if simple analgesics do not help. You can consult your orthopedician for prescriptions.
4. Hot compresses to your hand will be useful pain relieving measure. You may apply a local analgesic gel on that area.
This should slowly subside with hot fomentation and proper relaxation.

I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
