What Could Small, Long Shaped, Pinkish Growth On The Side Of Tongue Indicate?
Hi, my husband has recently noticed a small growth on the side of his tongue....it's not really round, more long-shaped and he can lift it/move it. It's not painful, and it was white but recently it has turned more pinkish. Is this something to worry about..we will go to the dr anyway but a clue would be good.
Thanks for your query, i have gone through your query, the growth could be a traumatic fibroma secondary to repeated trauma to tongue by sharp cuspal edges of the teeth or it can be an inflammed papillae. If i am you treating doctor i would have advised to go for excision of the growth and rounding off the sharp edges of the teeth..consult your oral physician..i hope my answer will help you.take care
