What Could Sore Nose And Watery Eyes Post Colonoscopy Suggest?

My mom had colonoscopy and endoscopy yesterday morning. After she woke up the left side of her nose was sore and her eyes started to water. Over the night it has gotten worse. It s painful and looks swollen now. Is this something that happens? What would have caused this?

hello, thanks for your query, tube(endoscopy) insertion through nose can cause mild bruises to mucosa of nose and injury to naso lacrimal duct ( connection between nose and eye). these are time limiting , will heal in its own. I feel your treating surgeon already started antibiotics. hope I have answered your query. all the best. take care.
