ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
If he is able to swallow ,then that suggests that there is relief.
Augmentin is a good antibiotic and to be taken for 8- 10 days.
In addition you need to give him decongestants, antihistaminic , anti inflammtory enzymes , anti inflammatory medicines .
Anti reflux medicines like pantoprazole are also of great help.
Red sores could be granulations due to the body reaction because of the infection.
These sore will go off , no need to worry.
In doubt do reply
