What Could Sore Throat With Difficulty In Swallowing Suggest?
hi my husband had a severe sore throat which he could not swallow at all and everything he ate and drank burned him. He has been like this for a week. he went to the dr and she prescribed him augmentum. just a few days ago he got about six red sores in the back of his throat and then the next day there was white in the center. he can now drink and swallow. he had alot of night sweats in the middle of the night plus some fatigue. what could this be?
Hello, If he is able to swallow ,then that suggests that there is relief. Augmentin is a good antibiotic and to be taken for 8- 10 days. In addition you need to give him decongestants, antihistaminic , anti inflammtory enzymes , anti inflammatory medicines . Anti reflux medicines like pantoprazole are also of great help. Red sores could be granulations due to the body reaction because of the infection. These sore will go off , no need to worry. In doubt do reply
