What Could Sudden Bruising Of Knee, With History Of ACL Surgery, Indicate?

I have developed an unexplained bruise behind my knee. There is a large deep purple bruise on top of the back of the knee and a smaller lighter color bruise on the bottom. It is sore. It was feeling tight prior this developing. It is not feeling tight any longer. This is the same knee that I had ACL surgery on about 25 years ago. Just curious what would cause this unexplained bruise. There has not been any recent injury to the knee.

I think it can be a injury which you may not noticed like sleeping in wrong position. I would suggest you hot water fomentation for some time and see if symptoms get relieved. If it persist then get MRI of the knee to see if there is any internal problem.
