What Could Sudden Sharp Pain In Eye Followed By Redness And Soreness Toward Outer Area Of Eye Indicate?

I had a sharp pain in my R eye then it started burning. When I looked into the mirror it was blood red. My eye looked like it had a clot of blood across the bottom of my eye. After a short time the bloody look spread around my eye. My vision is still okay, I have a little soreness toward the outer area of my eye. A little pressure between my brows, no headache. I wear glasses, I have not had any eye strain. I am 64 y/o with cataracts stage II. My last eye exam was less than a yr. ago. On my exam the pressure in my eyes was within normal range.

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having sharp pain in the eye with redness with normal vision.
This indicates inflammatory condition of the eyes like conjunctivitis or blepharoconjunctivitis.
The treatment of the condition is by using oral anti-inflammatory drugs and antibiotic eye drops.

Hence I advice you to consult your eye doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
