Hi....I went into my Docs because my feet and legs have been swelling HUGE...I can t even wear my shoes....When I went in they sent me to emergency to have tests....Heart Good, Chest xray good, Blood work up good, leg doppler.....I have a small clot in my right leg....They are working on that....But I still have huge swelling in my legs...I do have to have both knees replaced but my knee doc says that would not have anything to do with it...I am watching my salt intake I take 2 lasics and it doesn t do all that much...They did jump my heart meds up a little, I take metphorman for diabetes, paxil for depression. I am 100 lbs overweight and have been dealing with that since I was 22....It just kept going up....Lose 30 gain 40...etc.. I am 67 yrs old...I also take colesteral meds...That is it....

By analysing your symptoms you are likely suffering from deep vein thrombosis. It indicates blood in your veins has clotted which impairs the return of blood from your legs leading to swelling. You will put on blood thinners to dissolve the clot gradually. Hope this answers your query. If you have any more questions feel free to ask specifically. Thank you.
