What Could Swollen, Painful Toenail, Uncomfortable During Walking Indicate?
I woke up this morning and for some reason my toe was hurting, I felt the same pain yesterday but it cleared up and today I noticed the area behind my toenail appears to be swollen. As well as still having pain in my toe to where walking feels awkward and I feel a tug at the front of my toe.
I am so sorry to hear about these symptoms that you have reported. This could suggest an infection or provoked by inappropriate shoes. If this should continue, I will suggest that you get this nail checked out and examined for the exact cause to be established and treated accordingly. If it is a bacteria infection, you would need antibiotics. This can be done by your primary care physician.
I hope this addresses your query fully. If you have more related questions, feel free to ask me and I will gladly address them. I wish you the bes of health and thank you so much for using our services. Dr. Ditah, MD.
