What Could The Blue Sore On The Insides Of Lips Be?

My 90 year old mother lives with me. She showed me the inside of her top lip yesterday. It had a small blue sore. She said it has been there awhile,( days) she also said it feels hard. Today her lip is worse and the blue area is more than doubled. She does not remember biting her lip. She wears full dentures. What treatment do you advise?

Hi
Welcome to HealthcareMagic

I went through the history your mother is having a a blue sore inside the lips. This can be a simple aphthous ulcer or can be because of injury by dentures. But considering her age other causes like malignancy have to be ruled out.
Hence I advice you to consult your dental doctor or ENT doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
