What Could The Red Circular Mark On Leg Be?

My baby has a red circular mark that appeared on his leg today. It is hard to the touch in the middle and is about the size of a quarter. And i believe that it resembles a spider bite, without the part in the middle . Should I take him to his into his doctor? What could it possibly be?
