I had a red small spot on arch/side of my foot. It was sore the last few days but now laying in bed the pain is really bad with some itching. Now I have another one by it but it's not red but it's hard and sensitive to the touch under my skin like the other one.
The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be due to: 1. Localized abscess 2. Pressure sores 3. Ringworm (tinea) infection 4. Contact dermatitis
Symptomatic relief can be obtained with: 1. Incision & drainage in case of abscess. 2. Intake of antihistamine preparations like Allegra 3. Application of topical steroid & antifungal ointment. 4. Antibiotics to prevent secondary bacterial infection.
