What Could These Ultrasound Results Indicate Inspite Of Having A Bilat Flank Pain?

I had an ultrasound this morning because of bilat flank pain. The findings are
bilat medullary sponge kidney disease
bilat renal cortical thinning with no masses

I have not seen or talked to my dr yet and I do not understand what these diagnoses , I experience significant flank pain everyday

Please advise

According to the reports you are suffering from bilateral medullary sponge kidney disease which is causing thinning of renal cortex.
Medullary Sponge Kidney is a congenital disorder of the kidneys characterized by cystic dilatation of the collecting tubules.
Patients are at increased risk for kidney stones and urinary tract infection.
Asymptomatic patient doesn't require aggressive treatment.
Treatment for Medullary Sponge Kidney focuses on curing UTIs,removing kidney stones and preventing recurrent infections and stones.
