Hello and welcome,

The pregnancy test takes a variable time to become negative. The average time is usually 48 hours.
Period do not come so early after D and C.
Bleeding with a positive test may indicate an incomplete abortion and some bits may be inside. Please get an ultrasound transvaginal done to rule out products of conception. If they are there a check curettage procedure may be needed.
Hope this satisfies your query. Take care and see your doctor for evaluation and ultrasound.
