What Could Wet Lungs With Loose Bowels Suggest?

Thank you. I have had something akin to bronchitis for over a week. My lungs are still wet but coughing is a bit less than the rest of the week was. However, something new has come up. About three days ago I felt like my bowels needed to purge a lot and I have had loose stools since. Also, I have felt lack of clarity and I was achy last night. Just now I used the restroom again and the stools were loose, plus there was quite a bit of white mucus. Should I be worried?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hi. I can understand your concern.
Possibility of bronchitis is more in your case.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
PFT is needed for the diagnosis of bronchitis.
It will also tell you about severity of the disease and treatment of bronchitis is based on severity only.
You may need inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS)
Mucus in stool is symptom which should not be ignored you will need a doctors consult.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
Hope I have solved your query.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
