What Could White Marks On Eye With High Cholesterol Suggest?

Sir, I have white marks around my eyes. My father too had these marks. Doctor had diagnosed it as high level of cholesteroland prescribed Atorva 20 tablets. The marks have reduced. I am also Atocor 20 by Dr. Reddys Lab for last two months, but there has been no change in those marks. Please clarify, what's wrong.

White marks or xanthelasma occur due to cholesterol deposits on or around eyelids and go away when your cholesterol returns to normal through a strict low fat diet and an active lifestyle. Get your lipid profile checked every 6 months and make healthy changes in your diet by limiting fatty foods and increasing fibre rich foods in your diet. Exercise by brisk walking regularly 30-45 minutes a day 5 times a week. Hope this will help.
