What Could White Spots In Throat With Redness After Tonsillitis Indicate?

Hi i had tonsallites in April 2012 and a very high temperature, every since then i have had a bad throat with white spots on the right which come and go. I have been to the doctors so many times and they said nothing is wrong but also on my left hand side i have had a white spot which has not gone, after my seventh visit the doctor said i can see something and that she will refer me to the nose, ear, throat clinic because it can be cancer. She has got me and my family so worried. Then i went to the doctors again on the 9th Deccember saw a diffrent doctor and he said my throat is red and gave me co-dydramol tablets and he said its not cancer who do i believe i have been told so many different stories and its getting me so down i cant even sleep at night with the stress. Can you please help? My age is 42 im a female my height is 5 feet 1 inch my weight is just under 9 stone. I have to watch what i eat as certain food give me a bad stomach but i dont have any other medical history.
