What Course Of Treatment Should Be Done For Calcification Of The Arterial Vessels Around The Heart?
When you are diagnosed with calcification of the arterial vessels around the heart, is there anything you can do? 5 Bypass surgery done 30 years ago is completely closed. Other vessels on right side of the heart are 90% closed. Blood flow is being carried mainly by collateral vessels.

What Course Of Treatment Should Be Done For Calcification Of The Arterial Vessels Around The Heart?
Hi, Bypass surgery grafts can get blocked by a thrombus or can accumulate calcium over a long period of time. As you are saying that all grafts are blocked and the right artery is also significantly blocked you will need further treatment for the same. I can only tell you better if you send me a detailed Angiography report. Angioplasty could be tried in a native blocked vessel or calcified vessel by a technique called as Rotablation. So please send me the detailed report of Angiography if possible. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Sameer Maheshwari, Cardiologist
