60 bsl is not high its low.it would have been appericiated if height weight and age of your dad could have been known. His sugar levels also need t,o be known. In general for diabetic it should be low carbohydrates low fat good protein and good vitamins and minerals are needed. Give him high fiber to control sugar levels . sprouts for breakfast will help salads in lunch and dinner. Curds and buttermilk for lunch . murmura and channa can be used for munching . no sweets ,sugar honey and jaggery. No juices at all. Give him fruits in morning.give leafy vegetable. It seems his sugar levels gone down.give him glucose or any juice when sugar levels get down. Give him sprouts and salads when they are high. Consult dietician with his details to counsel you better.
