Internal Medicine Specialist, Dr. Rajasekar's Response
when you are affected with pul. TB, you have to take good nutritious food as TB infection makes you loose your weight and decrease your appetite. but when you take treatment surely you will have good appetite, so you have to take good proteins containing foods. if you eat nonveg than you can take animal proteins, but you are brahmin by religion so you can take protein containing foods. you can take yogurt. not a problem, take cheese, yogurt, beans, soyamilk, pumkins, peanut, almond and nuts. special proteins premixed foods( ensure , proteinex..) also available in india, i dont know about in japan. eat vegetables, fruits rich in vitamins, you have to take vitamin supplement when you take TB medicine.
