What Diet Should I Follow To Help Promotemy Kidneys?

HELLO, my first kidney effection was at the age of 19 and now I am 65 years old and my kidneys are begining to slow down a little. what can be done to slow the process down. Do you have any suggestion! what food can I eat to help promotemy kidneys? and what food I should not eat...please help thank you

Dear sir/madam, ideally we should assess why ur kidney is slowing down. Depending on the cause, treatment strategies will be planned. Possible causes are diabetes, hypertension, renal parenchyma disease(inflammatory/autoimmune), obstructive renal conditions, cardiac condition ( low pumping capacity of heart ) etc. So better get evaluated by nephrologists.
