What Do I Do About Delayed Periods Which Lasted For Over A Week When I Need To Stop Bleeding To Participate In A Competition?
I had the implant put in a month ago to stop my periods mainly and I have recently missed my first cycle end of September but my period has just came back and it’s longger then usual (8 days) and I need to it go immediately due to a competition. What do I do ?
Unexpected bleeding is a common side effect, especially in the first 6 months. In order to stop bleeding for your competition, I advise you to visit your doctor. He will prescribe you a combination of "combined oral contraceptive pills" and hemostatics.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ahmed Bahaa, OBGYN
