Hello,
Your treating doctor has prescribed Livolin Forte. If you have
acute hepatitis B infection, you should take rest. Take home-made food that is boiled. Avoid taking spicy, oily food. Take boiled water after cooling it. Take liver tonics and digestives. Do this for a couple of months till your blood tests show normal reports.
Get an
ultrasonography done to detect enlargement of the liver. Get all liver function tests done. Control your diet and take the medicine prescribed by your treating doctor. Do liver function tests and blood and urine tests for bilirubin and bile salts, etc., done every 45 days to assess the liver health. Your urine color and liver enlargement will slowly improve. Take boiled food with a little salt strictly.
Avoid taking alcohol and food that is harmful for your liver. Do exercises and walking but stay at rest. Do not exhaust yourself.
Chronic hepatitis B infection takes a long time to heal. Antiviral medicine and
Interferon injections are the treatment medication. Sometimes, the treating doctor may recommend
liver transplant if needed.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
