What Do I Need To Worry About After Surviving Ovarian Cancer?

Hi, I am a 61 year old women. And an ovarian cancer survivor of 5 years. When I had cancer I had both ovaries, and uterus removed. I had a check up two years later and the OBGYN asked why I was there because there wasn t anything to be checked, there for I have not gone back for ANY check up. I still have my CA125 checked every 6 months and pet scan once a year. But I don t know about any other obgn check ups??

Hi there,
Its a good thing that you are getting your CA 125 and pet scans done regularly. Since your uterus is removed you do not need any PAP smears, or any gynaecological examination except for follow up for the ovarian cancer which you will have to do for atleast next 10 year.
Hope this helps.
Regards
