What Do I Do If My Baby Wants To Sleep And Is Crying After Hitting Her Head On The Table?
My 81/2 month old was sitting in the floor and fell back and hit the back of her head on our coffee table .. It was a loud bump and she started screaming.. It hasn t been but thirty mins , I haven t felt any knots yet but she wants to go to sleep and wants her bottle than spits it out and cries then wants it again over and over. Could it just be a headache from the hit to the table? Will she be aright? Like I said I haven t felt any knots come up just yet after thirty mins . What do I do?
Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. I understand your concern. First be reassured that your kid is normal. I will suggest you danger signs of head injury - 1. Vomiting continuously 2. Seizures 3. Watery of bloody discharge from ears and nose 4. Unconsciousness 5. Altered sensorium or behaviour. If none of them are present, I don't think you should worry about his trivial head injury. For pain you can give oral Paracetamol in the dose of 15mg/kg/dose every 4-6th hourly. Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health. Dr. Sumanth MBBS., DCH., DNB (Paed).,
