What Do Intermittent Pain In The Upper Abdomen On The Left Side And Weight Loss Indicate?

I have a gnawing pain in my upper left abdomen.Sometimes it dissapears and then it comes back.Also I have experienced an 10 lbs weight loss over a period of 1.5 months, lack of apetite and ocasional nausea.All these started about a month ago, after I had a severe diarhea that lasted 2 weeks then it was gone after I started tk take anti biotics.The blood test revealed elevated total proteins in blood 89 vs 80 which is the max limit and a slightly higher glucose a jeun at 61. I am 40 yrs old.Can these be a sig of cancer?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I don't know if you have really attained these significant weight loss or just your illusions but history wise better get it checked. Get an endoscopy of bowel done and biopsy would relieve if you have cancer or not. I feel tuberculosis can also be the cause if you have low-grade fever. Based on the biopsy report you can get treated. Hope you get the investigation done and get back to us.
