What Do Large Nodes Out Of The Vagina During Pregnancy Indicate?

my wife is 37 weeks and had been having eratic contrations for 3 days. This is our 6th pregnacy and she called me home because when she sits on the toilet she (and I)can see two large nodes almost out of her vagina is this normal. Whe have never seen this before.
