What Do Pain And Swelling In The Middle Of The Abdomen Indicate?

I was trying to pull my mother up in bed by myself (she is 91 and bedridden, I am 69) and I felt a sensation in my midsection...the area is sensitive to the touch and seems to be a little swollen. Hi,

Muscular spasm could be the cause of your pain and it might happen due to uneven angle during pulling. Analgesic may be tried, but the best is physiotherapy.

Soft tissue inflammation and tendon injuries needs to be ruled out too. For long standing pain differential diagnosis need to be taken into consideration. You can even use the brace too.

Hope I have answered your query.
