What Do Pain And Swelling In The Urethral Opening Indicate?
I have been tested in my past for STDs and UTIS because of this problem. Both tests came negative. I haven’t been sexually active since the testing. I had been experiencing painful ironstone and urethral discomfort as well as my urethral opening looking quite swollen and raised. Like it’s on a bump. I don’t know how is is supposed to look exactly but I don’t remember my urethral opening being on quite a big bump?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
* As per my clinical experience, the pain and swelling in the urethral opening is commonly associated with inflammation of navicular fossa as urethritis or other reason.
* I recommend to consult immediately your family doctor for proper diagnosis and care. Primary relief with ice application and analgesic medicines will be ok.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
