What Do Patchy Parenchymal Scars And Fibrotic Stands In Middle Lobe Mean?
i got offer to work in kuwait. Doctors told me you are not fit to work in abroad. The doctors reports given below sir, TECHNIQUE: The multi slice NECT imaging of the thorax was performed with 2.5mm collimation . FINDINGS: Patchy parenchymal scars and fibrotic stands are seen in lateral segment of right middle lobe with adjacent basal pleural thickening along the costophrenic recess.Patchy subpleural fibrotric stands and few tiny calcific foci are seen in apical and posterior segments of right upper libe and apicoposterior segment of left upper lobe.
Thanks for your question on HCM. I can Understand your situation and problem. Your CT report is more suggestive of old, healed lesions. Any lung insult whether tuberculosis, pneumonia or trauma, after treatment heal and gives fibrotic lesion in lung. And these lesions will remain life long and seen on CT through out the life. So, it does not mean that you need treatment. I advice you to consult pulmonologist and get done bronchoscopy and BAL (Bronchoalveolar lavage) analysis. If this is normal than you can argue with Visa authority about not having active, infectious, contagious disease, and Your current CT lesions are old, inactive lesions. So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
