What Do Purple Spots On Thighs Indicate?

I noticed last year that I get patches of little purple spots on my thighs and I don t know what it is. The last time I got them they lasted about a month then they went away. I have them again and its been about a week since they appeared. They don t hurt or itch but they concern me.
