What Do Red Bumps On Arms And Legs Indicate?

Hello and good evening, for some reason these raised red bumps keep randomly appearing on my arms, hands, and legs. They are itchy and look like mosquito bites, but I know that s not the case. My siblings got them first and then i later got them, but mines look somewhat different then theirs. If you have any knowledge or idea of what might be causing these bumps besides bed bugs because I told that was the problem, but my bed has been checked and sprayed and stuff just in case, but it doesn t have any. So if you have any idea on what is the problem, besides bedbugs, please do tell.

Hello and welcome to HCM
Since you have ruled out bedbugs, but do have similar complaints in the family, the first thing is to check for other mites or infestations such as scabies. They involve little bumps with itching on the hands feet and skin folds including genitals, finger and toe webbed spaces. The itching is usually more at night.
Have any of you taken treatment for the symptoms?
Do you have any pets at home? Was there any history of outdoor avtivity/gardening before it started? Any kids of school going age or living in hostels?
I would advise all those affected to be treated at the same time to prevent spread from one person to another.
Take an antihistamine at night for the itching. All of you must apply a permethrin cream from neck below till toes , all over body, overnight, and bathe in morning. Use separate soap such as HHMite. Wash all bed clothes, linen in hot water and dry well in sun.
For itching at other times, you can apply calamine lotion or soothing moisturizer.
If it still persists, consult a dermatologist and rule out allergies and other causes.
Hope this helps
