My almost 15 year old daughter got out of the shower last night and noticed a rash on her neck. We have not switched soaps, lotions or shampoos. She is not allergic to any foods. She is not on any medication but is allergic to sulfa drugs. Her rash looks like small red bumps and does not itch. We did put some amalactin on it after school today but have not tried anything else. Suggestions?
hi.. in my view it scould be seborrhoeic dermatitis ( pimple like lesions) caused by dandruff. first of all her dandruff needs to be treated. can use ketoconazole shampoo twice a week. leave on to scalp for 2-3 min and tgen washh off. on the lesions apply benzoyl peroxide 2.5% gel at night.
