Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 88 years old and my PC doctor told me that my constipation might be caused somewhAT BY MY VAGINA WALL WEAKENING AND ALLOWING PUSH ON THE AREA ABOVE THE RECTUM. HE SUGGESTED THAT I DIGITALLY EXAMINE MYSELF TO SEE IF I COULD FEEL THAT TYPE OF THING HAPPENING. I FOUND IT SO PAINFUL TO ENTER THE VAGINA , BUT I DID (WITH THE HELP OF GEL) AND COULD FEEL EITHER VARICOUSE VEINS OR SMALL GROWTHS. SHOULD HE BE SUGGESTING THAT I SEE A GYN?
Small growths in the vagina might be polyp or else, but it has nothing to do with constipation. I recommend a per speculum examination by your OBGY for further guidance.
Thank you. Dr Purva
