Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
82 y/o male 3 days with temp 100.8 to 101. hospitalized. all workup negative for sepsis. on antibiotic therapy. getting progressively weaker. history of ITP, diabetes, kidney stage 3. doctors are saying they don t know the cause. also CT scan showed swollen abdominal lymph nodes, previously there but now they thing it got slightly enlarged. they want to perform biopsy of LN, but platelets are 22K
"As"per your clinical history is concerned it is [lymphoma] so do a physical exam of all lymph nodes and do biopsy for all enlarged nodes to confirm it and treatment plan will be decided after test report only.
Hope that helps and wish you a good health
