Hi
My Kid usually passes stool once a day, He had throat infection and doctor gave clavam...after that he started passiong more than 4 times a day, It continued after we stopped the clavam, Now we went for stool test, The result is Pus cells/hpf - 2-3, Bacteria - Present, Mucus - present and color - greenish yellow, Is it some thing to be alarmed?
Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic.
Clavam contains Amoxyillin Clavulenate and it usually causes diarrhoea. There is nothing to be alarmed if kid is active. Unless the kid's having low urine output or very dull or excessively sleepy or blood in motion or green bilious vomiting...you need not worry.
Probiotics which contain Saccharomyces boulaardii will be helpful. Kindly get back to your paediatrician.
