What Do The Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) Levels In The Below Thyroid Test Report Suggest?

I recently had thyroid tests inclusive of TSH 1.8 T4 total 7.3 T3 total 89 As I have recently been extremely fuzzy headed and am experiencing wt. gain of 1-2 lbs per week. Note I exercise daily and eat very healthily, no red meat, for, fried or fast foods little sugar etc. I have weighed between 125 and 130 all of my adult life and in the past 2 months have gained 15-20 lbs.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The weight gain is not due to under active thyroid. You need to check cortisol level to rule out Cushing's disease (another cause of weight gain).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
