What Do These Mammogram And Ultrasound Test Results Of The Right Breast Indicate?
Hello I have a 1cm by 1cm palpable mass in the 7 o clock position in my right breast that was located by nurse practitioner during my annual exam...I had a mammogram and an ultrasound on right breast I received a letter today telling me that no typical symptoms of cancer were seen on the mammogram and ultrasound although the technician told me she saw the mass on both my mammogram and ultrasound I do have nexplanon implants for the past 7 years which causes permanent acne and maybe a half a day light menstrual cycle every 2-3 years I had an appointment with a surgeon today but had to cancel and reschedule 7 days from today due to my grandmother passing away while I was driving to my appointment. My questions n is what could this 1cm by 1cm mass in the 7 o clock position that is palpable and I was told fairly rounded mass? Could it be a cyst? Could it be a fibroid?or could it be a rare side effect of the nexplanon implants? My mother does have terminal stage 4 cervical cancer and my grandmother died of breast cancer plus I have an aunt that has fibroids in her breasts

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
1x1cm mass in the breast may be fibroadenoma also. Usually, it is rounded and well circumscribed. So in mammogram, they told you that it is not cancer.
In the query, you didn't mention about your age. Usually, fibroadenomas are common in the reproductive age. But, malignancies are also there (rare).
