What Do White Spots In The Field Of Vision Indicate?

Ive had more stress than usual. Yesterday I experienced something I've never had before. I started seeing white spots like when u look into a flashlight and see spots afterwards. Then started losing about a third of my vision on the left side along with pain in my eyes and the front of my head hurting as well as being sensitive to sound and light. I slept for a few hours and it didn't go away. Also experienced rippling water type affect on the left side in like a side ways u shape which was the same light color as the spots. What may this be?

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hi,

This sounds like a retinal detachment and I would urge you to immediately go to a retina specialist. It needs urgent surgery, if confirmed and if operated early it has good prognosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Harshita, Ophthalmologist
