What Do You Mean By Keystone In Urine And How Can A Baby Of One Year Get That?

Hi dr. im having a 1 year and 8 months old baby boy and now he is admitted in hospital, i would like to ask some clarifications, because his pedia told us that she find KEYSTONE on his urine test...what is it and from where my son get that....pls help me..Thanks

I assume you meant ketones in urine.
Ketones are seen in cases of prolonged starvation or severe dehydration especially following bout of gastroenteritis.
