What Do You Mean By Duodenal Mucosa Located In Throat In An Upper EGD Report?

I had an upper EGD to see what was the cause of my reflux. I was told that my duodenal mucosa was located in my throat and they were not sure what to do about it. I ended up leaving more confused than I was going in there. I just want to know what does that mean.

I have gone through your query regarding duodenal mucosa in throat for GERD.

Here I would like to tell you that in cases of GERD there is a reflex from abdomen and brings up gastric acidic juices in the throat and it is a part and partial of hyper acidity. GERD does'n mean duodenal mucosa in throat.

To treat GERD you may take antacids and gets relief secondarily this reflex appears from time to time and never remains always , this also clears your query as if duodenal mucosa is in throat than problem will not be off and on nature.
