What Do You Suggest For A Painful Lump Behind My Ear?

I have a soft spongy lump behind my left ear. It is painful and growing in size - the lump is spreading wider. It has been there for about 4-5 days. Dry skin formed over it, but I've scratched it away. It has not come to a head.
Any idea how I can treat this on my own? No insurance.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello!

I would really recommend that you meet your doctor as the swelling has been there for 4-5 days and is spreading!
It is likely to be due to an infection and you will need to get it drained and start on antibiotics hence you must meet your doctor!
Take care
