What Do You Suggest For A Red Itchy And A Swollen Bump After Getting Stung By A Scorpion?
I got stung by a scorpion a week ago in Arizona on my ankle. I had all of the normal symptoms for the first day and then for a total of 3.5 days I had very sensitive skin on my foot that made it feel like I had blisters on my foot/heel or like it was being scratched if I rubbed it against anything. Today a week later I'm getting a bump on my ankle right by where I got stung, I don't know exactly where I got stung because there was no spot ever but this is the approximate location, I know I was stung because I caught the scorpion right afterwards. It's red, itchy, and swollen. Does this have to do with the scorpion or did I just happen to get bitten by something else in the same location?
HI Thank for asking to HCM I can understand your worry scorpion sting has got very typical sing and symptoms and severe one that demand immediate medical attention, to the extent that certain species proven fatal, so this may nor be scorpion sting and may be any thing else, you have to treat the lesion according to the clinical manifestation, if I would be your doctor then I would treat you with the following medicine, 1) Tab Ibuprofen 200 mg three times in day 2) Tab Amoxicillin 500 mg three times in day I hope this line of treatment would be helpful to you, take care and have good day.
