ENT Specialist 's  Response
hello and welcome to health care magic,

You seem to have a perforated drum
In most of the cases (i have personally seen more than four thousand!!) the perforation will heal by itself in a matter of weeks which can be up to three months so till then just make sure you take a good antihistamine like levocetrizine and just keep your ears dry
If after three months the hole does not heal then you can take a PTA and get back to me or any ENT to decide on the surgery. Do not jump the gun so soon.
Do not worry, if you are careful and if you wait, it will definitely heal

regards

Dr Sriram nathan
