Hi,
Thanks for choosing HCM and I am very glad to know that this is a place where teenagers like you are able to post your health concerns.
Now regarding your query. It seems that you are having
puberty menorrhagia. In this there is excessive bleeding due to hormonal imbalance. It is common in your age and can be managed easily. Another cause is
pregnancy and
abortion.
In any case, you must see a doctor as bleeding for such
prolonged periods will lead to development of low
hemoglobin levels and anemia and it will hamper your health. Trust your mother or any guardian or friend that you are able to confine with and see a doctor. These are common issues. It is natural for you to feel shy about it, but there is nothing to be shy about. This is just like another health condition. For me as a doctor these are routine problems and we have such patients routinely. So please get over your embarrassment. There is nothing to be shy about this.
You will need investigations like a hormonal study, coagulation study and
ultrasound to rule out any other condition.
If it is puberty menorrhagia, drugs like
tranexamic acid will help in controlling it. sometimes hormones may be needed to stop bleeding.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Thanks for using HCM.
Feel free to ask any more questions that you may have.
